Modern Slavery Act

In our business and supply chain, Sandea Wholesale is dedicated to combating human trafficking and slavery through the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy. This statement, which relates to the fiscal year ending in 2024–2025, is made in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act of 2015.

We acknowledge that supply chain exploitation persists as a major problem throughout the world, including in the UK, and we are dedicated to actively contributing to its elimination. As part of this pledge, we acknowledge our clients’ responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act of 2015 and promise to work with them to support their compliance initiatives.

Our Commitments

We confirm the following steps taken within our organization and supply chain:

Business Compliance: We confirm that no relevant offense relating to slavery or human trafficking has been committed within our own operations.

Supply Chain Due Diligence: We have conducted inquiries with businesses that directly supply to Sandea Wholesale and are confident that no relevant offenses have been committed by our direct suppliers.

Supply Chain Review: Where reasonably practicable, we have examined our extended supply chain and confirm that no evidence of slavery or human trafficking was found.

Our Business

Sandea Wholesale operates in the UK, distributing a wide range of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), over-the-counter medicines (OTC), cosmetics, and toiletries. Our business structure includes 11 employees in the UK with management overseen by a Managing Director and team who supervise the workforce.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chains involve the distribution of health and beauty products, toiletries, pharmaceuticals, household goods, cosmetics, perfumes, beverages, and confectionery. While particular industries or places may provide a higher risk of exploitation, we do not think our supply chain works in those areas.

Whenever feasible, we make certain that companies in our supply chain have put comparable declarations or guidelines for human trafficking and slavery into effect. Additionally, we urge staff members to report any doubts or worries they may have about such kinds of violations in our supply chains.

Training and Awareness
We are dedicated to increasing knowledge and awareness of the risk posed by human trafficking and modern slavery. As part of our efforts, we provide our staff members information and training to enable them to recognise and report potential threats or concerns.

Combating Human Trafficking and Slavery Effectively
Our efforts to stop human trafficking and slavery will be evaluated based on the following key performance indicators (KPIs):

Compliance with Right to Work: Documents attesting to each employee’s eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Training Records: Verification that all staff members have completed the necessary instruction on human trafficking and modern slavery.
Records attesting to suppliers’ verified adherence to our supplier code of conduct constitute supplier compliance.

Our team regularly discusses the importance of modern slavery and the hazards associated with our supply chain. We keep identifying potential high-risk locations and investigating more doable measures to reduce such risks, making sure that all required procedures are followed.

This statement is made according to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Sandea Wholesale Ltd Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 2023/2024.
